New Zealand, or better known as Aotearoa, has been called home by the Māori or natives since 1200 A.D. Fast forward to 2013 Māori only makes up 14.9% of ethnic people inhabiting the island; while European ranks first with 74% of the population. This portion of the “Pacific Abroad: Cross-Cultural Training Blog” focuses on the Māori people and their history as the once dominate force of Aotearoa.
